Fund Workshops to Promote Good Health in Asia

Help us provide hygiene kits to children at schools across Cambodia

Access to clean water and sanitation is a struggle for a large portion of our population, however, with 77% of people in Cambodia living in rural areas, their struggles are increasingly more intense and difficult. Students have limited access to resources that keep basic hygiene, with teeth brushing and handwashing being particular problems for them. We aim to provide our students with basic hygiene kits, alongside regular workshops, to teach the importance of basic hygiene practices.

Being Healthy, Active, and Clean is widely known to us as an important part of survival, but the basics of hygiene and healthy living are not as widely known across Cambodia. With your donations, we run community workshops and engaging projects to bring rural communities together to be educated and learn about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, to help protect lives and increase life expectancy across Asia.

5 million Cambodians do not have access to clean water and basic hygiene practices and this has a huge effect on most aspects of life. Due to the expenses involved, healthcare, such as dental and medical care, is typically reserved for the middle class. Our students have therefore typically never been to a dentist or a doctor before and understand little of the risks in not brushing their teeth or washing their hands.

Our goal with this project is to provide hygiene kits to our students in Cambodia, especially in the areas where basic hygiene is non-existent, as well as host workshops around the importance of upkeeping their basic hygiene and the benefits to their health and wellbeing. These workshops will be vital to the success of the hygiene kits, as most of these children are unaware of how to begin brushing their teeth and washing their hands.

In the long run, this project will boost the health of the communities and children, allowing them to learn efficiently, continue working without falling ill, and also prevent communicable diseases as they will be aware of the importance of their hygiene practices. Our goal is to extend our reach to the surrounding communities, as well as the students, as this will help communities take pride in their health and empower individuals.
