Leadership & Impact Fund: Scaling Local Solutions

Launching April 1st 2026, We’re tackling local capacity building head-on!

Action Change supports over 90 global project initiatives, from Rhino protection to women’s hubs. However, great community members and leaders often lack the “seed capital” to scale due to education and training. This Fund provides critical resources, mentorship, and training to help people change their own future and help their community thrive and become self-sustaining. We’re shifting the narrative from “giving aid” to “investing in local ownership.

Many grassroots programs are stuck in a cycle of “survival mode.” They have the passion, but they lack the flexible funding & skills to transition into long-term sustainability. Whether it is a lack of digital infrastructure, or a gap in specialised training, these “bottlenecks” prevent local leaders from achieving independence. Without a dedicated fund to address these strategic hurdles, many high-impact projects remain aid- dependant and do not really develop. It’s time for change!

We are a impact accelerator for our global programs. We remove “survival mode” bottlenecks by providing three pillars of support:
1) Strategic Seed Capital for infrastructure and revenue-generating tools;
2) Professional Mentorship in finance, SEO, and leadership to bridge the expertise gap; and
3) Agile Emergency Funds to protect projects from climate or economic shocks. We don’t just provide aid; we provide the blueprint for 100% local ownership and independence for all our projects.

The goal is the “Exit Strategy.” By the end of our intervention, we expect our programs to be locally owned and financially independent. Independence: All programs moving away from traditional aid. Economic Growth: Local communities creating jobs through their own social enterprises. Environmental Security: Sustainable funding for long-term conservation (Rhinos, Jaguars, Oceans). Ultimately, we are building a global network of self-sustaining leaders who no longer need an external funding.

Program Launch – 1st April 2026

Update from: Tyrone Bennett FCMI CMgr, CEO of Action Change

We are thrilled to officially kick off the Leadership and Impact Fund: Scaling Local Solutions. Because of your initial support, we are moving beyond traditional aid to build something far more resilient.

To ensure the 92 global projects we support reach their full potential, Action Change is officially launching a pioneering Professional Corporate Remote Volunteering initiative as a core pillar of this fund along with our Senior Corporate Mentor Program.

We realised that while our local partners are experts in their fields, be it wildlife conservation or early childhood education they often face a “visibility gap” that keeps them dependent on international rescue. To bridge this, we are recruiting a “Digital Army” of senior professionals from around the world to donate their elite skills along with our fundraising to allow us to invest in systems, processes and financial sustainable solutions within their local community.

Supporters can now engage with our programs in two transformative ways:

  • Skill-Based Foundations: Senior architects, web developers, and copywriters are working remotely to build the digital infrastructure our projects need to stand on their own.

  • Professional Virtual Mentorship: Corporate leaders are being paired with local community members to provide 1-on-1 development, transferring high-level management and digital skills directly to the people on the ground.

How does this help Action Change?

Action Change is a disruptive force building long-term, financially sustainable initiatives in partnership with local communities. Our mission is to move away from “international rescue” toward local sovereignty.

The introduction of professional remote volunteers is the critical bridge for that transition. By providing high-level digital and strategic expertise, these volunteers help build the external visibility and brand authority local leaders need to become self-sufficient. This work directly solves the “visibility gap,” attracting major donors and corporate partners to grassroots initiatives. By training an “army” of local people through our mentorship tracks, we ensure the impact is permanent and the projects remain robust long after a volunteer’s placement ends.
